Materials and
Resources:
A
wide variety of books, tapes and videos which can be borrowed or
purchased. These include materials intended for specific kinds of
loss as well as for a variety of ages.
We also offer the "compassion help
line". This is a toll free number available to all members of a
family 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is a small one-time
sign up fee for the unlimited use of this service.
Community
Education:
Part of our commitment to the community we serve is to provide a
variety of resources. We do this through various seminars including
occasional open houses.
We also host the Hospice Foundation of
America's annual teleconference, Living with Grief, with a new topic
presented each year. The teleconference is presented annually in
April.
Candlelight
Memorial Service:
A Christmas
Candlelight Memorial Service is held near the beginning of
December and is a continuation of a tradition that began in 1993.
The purpose of this service is to provide an opportunity to
remember those who have died and are missed, especially at
Christmas. Detailed information is available in the fall of each
year.
