Construction of Valleyview Funeral Home started in 1976 with its
grand opening on July 1, 1977.
Original owners Murray and Ken Kyle selected the site in the
Rutland area for its quiet location and the beautiful view of
Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley. |
 |
In 1986 the
Valley’s only indoor columbarium and scattering garden were added.
In 1997 a reception tearoom was added allowing Valleyview to
provide a full range of service options.
Murray Kyle remains
an active member of Valleyview’s staff along with manager Norman
Nelson, funeral director Aron Meier, pre-arrangement consultant
Edward Jones and receptionist Halina Kot.

Services
Why have a funeral?
While the issues of death and grief can be difficult to face
it is often more difficult in the long-term to avoid such issues. A funeral service or ceremony, whether burial or cremation,
is the opportunity to recognize not only the uniqueness of a life
lived but to recognize that a life has ended.
The funeral allows us to gather together and celebrate a life
lived. By not avoiding
the reality of death the funeral can be an important first step to
begin the process of healing.
Valleyview
is proud to be able to meet any request to appropriately honour the
life of a loved one and make the service meaningful and healing.
Whether one opts for a traditional service with burial, a
celebration of life service, a service outside of the funeral home,
or cremation with no service we are able to help and ensure
financial concerns are respected.
Please feel free to contact us at any time regarding service
options. |
